FAMILY MINISTRIES

At Second Arnold, we uphold the first institution that God created and that is family. It is our goal through these ministries to strengthen families through prayer and service and also bridge the generational gap.

brotherhood 
ministry

Brother Ulysees Jackson, President

The purpose of this ministry is to carry the Lord's ministry to men both in the church and outside of the church. This ministry helps to fulfill the Great Commission to "go out into all the world" spreading the good news of Jesus Christ and helping those who are less fortunate.

Sister Armoni Jones, President | Minister Johnnie Perkins and Minister Angela Hall, Advisors

The purpose of this ministry is to train and develop the children (6-12), youth (13-17) and young adults (18-25) of the church, enhancing their personal relationship with the Lord while teaching one how to magage the secular advantages (work, school, community activities, and social media). This ministry is led by a council of young people appointed by the advisors and approved by the pastor.

Branches within this ministry: Children's Ministry, Youth and Young Adult Ushers, Voices of Unity, and Praise Dance Ministry.

Ministering Women
ministry

Sister Sheila Arkwright, President

The purpose of this ministry is to provide organization and leadership for special projects, promoting Christian values in the church, the home and the community, provide education and fellowship for young girls, young adult women, and adult women of the church.

mother's
ministry

Mother Louise Wiggins

The purpose of this ministry is to have mothers of the church that must be spiritual lead women living a peaceable life in godliness and honesty. They must be a member of the church for ten (10) or more years, 60+ years of age, and serve as the spiritual mother for the entire church membership without respect of person. The functions of the mothers of the church include, but not limited to: be able to attend church and meet with pastor for prayer; be willing to pray for the sick by visit or telephone; be willing to minister to young men and women, couples, and parents when called upon.

Seniors in Action
ministry

Sister Janice Maynor, Director

The purpose of this ministry is to serve as a seniors' activities ministry for all seniors of the church. This ministry has senior bible study every fourth Wednesday and plans outings both out of town and in town.
